Calcium for Egg Bound Hen

Thank you for asking. No egg yet. I'm going to give more Calcium Gluconate. Please keep her in your prayers 💜
Yes I would give her another dose
Also lube a finger and see if the egg is in sideways
If it is you may need ti turn it
If not I would push lube in all around so I can slide better. How is her poo been since earlier ?

I noticed that her poop had that blue color like the blueberries I gave her earlier, so her crop is slowly moving. I gave her about 5 pellets of feed because she kept pecking at the floor and it was all gone. Since her crop is at least slowed, I tubed some water into her crop and I'm hoping that will help. I noticed on day 1 that water turned up the contractions somewhat, but she's not as interested in drinking. She still acts like her vent and abdomen are sore from all of the massage we did the other night. Since the tubing was so stressful, I'm going to try rotating the egg in the morning. She is handled on a daily basis and always has been but she does not like being held. She is happy perched on my hand but holding her is one thing she hates and that's necessary for medicating and tubing. She actually handled the tubing very well, which surprised me. It was the holding and restraining that upset her. She seems to do better if I allow her to walk around. That's another thing that seems to get things moving. Thank you so much for the prayers and advice 💜 We really appreciate it

I used a small rectangle piece of fabric that I've always referred to as a burp cloth to wrap her up, restraining her wings last night while I tubed fluids into her. Sounds like our OEGB hens have similar personalities ☺️ While I bring up tubing fluids, that really helped with her crop. It was significantly smaller this morning 🎉 She had a lot of small poops throughout the night. This morning I'm still not seeing an egg 😢 So I'll be giving more Calcium Gluconate and tubing more fluids. While she was walking around, I noticed another poop and while it was larger than what I've been seeing from her, I noticed it was quite flat. I'm assuming the egg is causing this. I'm hoping to find some videos or something to help give me an idea on the best way to get the egg turned and ways to figure out if this is the issue. I imagine there aren't many ways and it's probably self explanatory for most, but it makes me nervous.

I am worried that because she has been egg bound for days there maybe more eggs behind that one
How often does she lay ? If it’s daily there could be more then just that one
Maybe up her calcium dose to .5
I’m glad she is pooing but if she is blocked by the egg and possibly poo she won’t be able to emitted her crop. And won’t have room for it to go anywhere
I’m so glad she is still alive but I worry how long she can truly keep going like this
I hope you find videos cause this egg need to get out sooner then later
My prayers are still coming for yuy both
