Yeah was wondering how we’d be able to suction out the egg fragments. I think that would def take a vets experience

I think we're going to have to try since a vet is not an option unfortunatelyAny way you could lube her up and gently work it out?
I would use lube. This will help ti slide the egg out and hopefully not break inside herI think we're going to have to try since a vet is not an option unfortunately
I removed 3 eggs from a hen with a vent damaged from a vent gleet infection. I described what I did here.Yeah was wondering how we’d be able to suction out the egg fragments. I think that would def take a vets experience
I just read your thread. I'm in awe of your care for Seneca. She was lucky to have youI removed 3 eggs from a hen with a vent damaged from a vent gleet infection. I described what I did here.
Good luck. I hope you have a better outcome than I did.![]()
I'd try a bit of lubrication and see if she's able to push it out.azygous has been tagged

Any experience with this?
Egg is at the vent fat end first. Been like this for a few days. I'm not sure how often this hen lays. Crop is slow but after some water was tubed into her crop, that's slightly improved. Her poop is flattened because of the egg.
