Calibrating a digital hydrometer, How do you do that??.

Mine doesn't use the probe to test the humidity, the unit itself does that, so I'm thinking putting it in water would hurt it.

You don't put it in the water, just in a ziplock bag with the cup of moist salt. And it should read 75% after 8 hours.​

Yep it just needs to be sealed in with the cup of salt water. It worked perfectly!

This is basicly the same as the ziplock bag with salt solution everybody else is suggesting. The hydrgometer should read 75.5% after testing. If it doesnt, then just record the difference between 75.5% and what your meter is showing and adjust humidity levels accordingly.
