When we moved to our house last year it "came" with a calico cat that we named Callie also but spelled it Kalli . She was one of the sweetest cats Ive ever had. She also was pregnant and had 7 babies last year , only one of them being Calico, who was named Paris. 6 girls and one boy. We were with her the whole delivery, she actually had one on my lap, she didn't want me to leave.

Dodgegal79, there is rare cases where you get male Calicos but it is very unusual because most of the time it is takes 2 X chromosomes (makes it a Female, X and Y makes males ) that carry it to make a Calico

Calico's do sometimes have calico kittens, although not every time, our momma calico has a calico kitten right now. While the majority of yellow/orange tabies I've seen are male we do have a female, who currently has 4 orange tabby boys. yep these mommas have appt with the vet. If we don't find homes well they currently have a great home on our farm.
