California Chickens?

Anyone selling chicks or chickens in california? Im interested in almost all types.
(no old english, or turkens)

Pullets preffered. Im willing to pay alot.

Hey I am right there with ya..I am looking too. Seems like not so many people sell chicks etc in CA. I can only find 3 kinds of egg layers. RIR, BR and Ameraucanas.
I want Wyandottes, Sussex..maybe even Buff orps.. Let me know if you find someone.

Oh sorry for delayed response..am not subcribed.
I am in Salinas area..I can only find really common ones RIR, BR,and Amerauconas. Let me know if you know of anyone who sells pullets for Wyandottes, Brahmas, or other kinds.
I can find these other ones at my local feed stores..

Yes, another Californian interested. It seems like if you want anything more exotic, you have to go out of state.

I'm actually surprised we don't have hatcheries for Oriental varieties. California has a lot of breeders for Oriental breeds of cats, so why not chickens? Or is there something we don't know about?

What's this about hatcheries in Bakersfield or Fresno? We want details!

Look up hamandeggsranch.com she has a lot of kinds of poultry. the are not cheap but the selection is good. She is in Norco, about an hour north of you.

I know that my local feed stores get their chicks from Belt hatcheries in Fresno?..but I also want some more exotic ones..
