We actaully just over here about a month agao from Pomona ,where my husband grew up. I was raised in the Antelope Valley. My father was an agriculture science teacher there for over 30 years.

I just wanted to give everyone some info.....for anyone wanting to show there flock this summer season....I spoke to the entries office at the Antelope Valley Fair in Lancaster Ca.....and they are going to be opening up the entries for OPEN poultry to outside of Los Angeles County .So if anyone wants to show thier birds ,the fair is in Aug 2012. You can get info from thier website.

It used to e a large show but enties have been down

Me. I am new at this, but I will most likely not show my birds, ever. It's probably a holdover from my dislike of Dog Shows, Rodeos, Horse Shows, etc...

well chicken shows don't change or effect the birds in any way...they are not groomed, trained or handled in any other way than normal .Chickens just do what chickens do Eat,Cluck,Crap, and Crow.Same at poultry shows.....OH! and you will still see them LAY there too.....lol....I know I have

I would like to get involved in that someday with my chickens but as of now I don't have any show birds even though all my feathered babies are beautiful too me. LOL I still have to finish painting my coop and run. I kinda lost the motivation to do it after splitting my head open on the run. siiigh

OUCH! Girlfriend are you O.K?
Today I plan on priming my coop today.....that is if I get motivated to get out there early this morning instead of sitting here on BYC....lol It was HOT the last few days.

Later I think I'm going to order my incubator ....Think I'm going to get the reptipro6000 .....really excited

Oh yeah, I'm OK now. It's all healed up. I got the staples out a week ago. I had an awful headache for a week though. Hubby removed the beam I got my head on.

It sure has been hot! Today would be a great day to get some painting done... hmmm lol

Hubby told me "NO WAY" about getting an incubator. LOL

well let me get mine started.....kinda excited .....been some many year for me.....Makes me feel like a kid and ill be 40 in december...lol.......You can can be my hatch-a-long buddy! Until you break him weak

LOL He is a softy when it comes to chicks. I mentioned the other day about getting some pullets that are 4months old, same age as ours and he is like... "Nooooo, we have to raise them from babies..." LOL
