I'm next to LAX and it's a huge mess. Run partially flooded even though it's mostly coveted. I am so ready for these storms to pass!
Where are you?
My chickens are spoiled they usually free range daily. Right they are mad at me because I won't let them out in the rain. I'm out of Downey.

Hi! Is it really wet for you? My chickies have no clue what to do in all this sky water.

Hallelujah...sunshine! We are all ridiculously greatful...for both the much needed rain and now for this beautiful day.
The girls decided to pile up (on my lap) for a little snooze...

We're in Long Beach and as much as I love rain I am so glad it's stopped. It's a covered run, but their food was a mess, a small pond started in the run, and that mud was sticky! The ladies' feet disappeared when they walked in it. We covered it in pine shavings, that seems to have helped.

Nice and sunny for them as well. I cut them loose for the day. I have to work on damage control from the rains.

This is what happens to my Silkies when it rains even just a little bit. We built 2 large covered patio shelters and a covered walkway and the hens still love to go forage in the mud puddles for all the crickets, earthworms, and other bugs that the rain brings to the surface! Even suburban chickens use their farm instinct roots.

Hey all,

New member from the Imperial Valley in Southern California. I was told this thread may be a good place to announce that I have chickens and Pekin/Rouen ducks that need to go to new homes. If you’re interested at all, feel free to send me a message and we’ll talk!

I’ll of course be posting in the general adoptions board but figured here would be good too.

Here’s a Craigslist ad I also posted about them: Craigslist

Thanks!
