Hi! We are now out of stock of silkies for the season.Do you have sexed silkies?
Hello, do you currently have any chicks available? If so, what age/breads?Hello, we are a small Hatchery in the inland empire, we do offer healthy and well care chicks. We have 25 years of experience and our priority is to grow our business and share our love for chickens.
My only Wyandotte from backyard chickies just died from reproductive issues, barely made it to a year before malformed eggs got stuck in the oviduct. My jubilee seems healthy, thank god, but I don't think I'll be getting more chickens from there.I purchased my first six chickens from Renee at backyardchickies in May 2020 and two of my six have died. Both of them were Wyandottes and both died from reproductive issues. The other four have been healthy (except one died from a bobcat attack so we only have three now). I know a few other people who have purchased Wyandottes from her as well and they also died within the first years unexpectedly. Something seems wrong with her line of Wyandottes. The others we got from her (Buff, Barred Rock, Black Australorp and Easter Egger all have been healthy). Because of that I'm debating on whether I should get more from her or not (and just stay away from her Wyandottes).
Oh, I'm so sorryMy only Wyandotte from backyard chickies just died from reproductive issues, barely made it to a year before malformed eggs got stuck in the oviduct. My jubilee seems healthy, thank god, but I don't think I'll be getting more chickens from there.
Oh that's great to know for the future! I would love to be able to purchase chicks locally. I feel horrible that these poor little day old chicks are shipped across the country in a box...with some dying just from the stress alone.I purchased chicks from Buckaboo farm last year and this year. I have nothing but good things to say. Buckaboo farm is a small breeder not a hatchery in orange county.
I agree. Part of the reason that I have my own chickens is because I care about those poor chickens living terrible lives to produce eggs for us. So it doesn't make sense for me to risk them going through shipping and possibly dying.Oh that's great to know for the future! I would love to be able to purchase chicks locally.
