Hi! Yes, I have 3 pullets available -- 13 weeks old. Do you by any chance have room for all 3 of them? If not, I will see if I can find a home for the last one -- I just hate to leave one lonely chicken all by herself! The larger white/grey one in the picture is the boy, the other 3 are the pullets.
Aw that would be sad to leave just one. But I don't think I have room for 3. Ideally I only want to add 1 (I just rehomed my roo :(). But know it's tough for the new one if I just add one, that's why I'm looking for two.
So are the 3 available the white/grey, the black, and the brown one? What breeds are they? How big will they get?

Oh I just realized that the photos are all of just the 4 chickens! I thought you had various sets you were posting about. My bad haha. They are very cute. How many pounds will they get full grown?

Since they are silkie-crosses, I'm not sure on their size. It seems like silkie mixes very a good deal. Their mom weighs about 6.5 pounds & is a big, big Australorp, their silkie roo dad was 3-4 pounds.... so if I had to guess, I'd say they'd probably be about 4-5 lbs full grown. We had another mix (a boy) that was about that big. They weren't the product of intentional breeding, we just had 2 broodies that sat on fake eggs for 5 weeks straight and I started to feel really bad for them. Despite that, I think they turned out beautifully. I just love the coloring on the white/grey ones and their poofy heads and feathered feet. The black one is super friendly and maybe would be okay on her own (assuming she's going to have other chickens in her new home). The brown one is super shy, though and definitely should go with one of her sisters.

Yes they are very cute! The white/grey splash especially. Are they friendly with people and each other? Non-aggressive? I assume so based on the breed crosses. But just checking.
Also I know it can be hard to sex Silkies so how are you able to tell if they are female? I just can't bear rehoming another roo I love (if you scroll up and few posts in this forum you'll see my Mottled Java I just rehomed).

Oh, he's a pretty boy! It's SO hard to watch them grow up and then have to try to find a good home for them. I've had to say goodbye to quite a few -- we have a cockfighting ring near us pretty bad, and they collect roo's from craigslist and use silkie boys as bait :( it sucks! Still, managed to find good homes for 4 of our boys and kept 2 silkie roos. We had 4 others in the brood, and they started crowing and starting to get saddle feathers a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, we had to process them. It sucks! But our dogs and cat are very happy to have good food. Anyway, the big white one hasn't started crowing yet, so I suppose there's a chance he's a she, but he was the first to hatch and definitely has a rooster personality. I'm 99% sure the others are girls by comparing them to the boys in behavior, size, and feather appearance, but there's still a 1% chance I'm wrong. I've managed to reliably sex our other silkies and silkie-mix by the time they were this age, but I also will take any of them back if they turn out to be roos. I realize that might be kind of a long drive, though -- we're near Ventura, which can be 1 -1/2 to 2 hours to LA depending on where you are. They're all very sweet and not at all aggressive. Good around kids, our dogs and our cat and very predator savvy. They've been free-ranging with the rest of the flock since they were a couple days old! They were raised by broodies, so it's taken them awhile to get used to being handled & the brown one is still super shy, but the rest are at the age where they are getting more outgoing & run up to me as soon as they hear the door open.

Hi everyone, my husband and I just bought a home and our new yard is unfortunately unsuitable to give our two hens the life they deserve. We think the larger brown one (a whopping 8 pounds) is a New Hampshire Red, and we think the smaller black one, who weighs about 4 pounds, is some kind of Langshan hen based on the feathers on her feet. We’re not sure how old they are, but they were pullets when my mom brought them home in September 2020 and they only began laying earlier this year, so they are probably around a year old.

They’re currently living in my parent’s side yard in Anaheim (Orange County) where they have ample room to free range and jump for passion fruit leaves, dig up our kale patch, and nap/bathe in the afternoons. My parents are retiring and moving away as well, so we’re looking for the right fit to give them a happy life together, ideally somewhere with a huge lawn they can dig around in. They are bonded to and protective of each other so we’d like them to stay together. They are a little skittish and wary of us (probably because we got them as pullets and not as chicks) but will squat and let themselves be picked up briefly if you tempt them with a treat. They don’t like to be held for too long and prefer to be near each other as often as possible.

They both started laying for the first time in January and February of this year and are fairly consistent layers. They underwent treatment for worms recently (July 13) so their eggs won’t be available for eating until August 24 (6 weeks, as recommended by the vet), but they are otherwise very delicious and fresh tasting. You’d need to be able to come pick them and their coop up (purchased from Tractor Supply Company in October 2020) in Anaheim, but I’ll include their feeder, waterer, and some nesting material. They’ve been eating layer crumbles and grit and are given fresh kale (yes, they are picky about it being fresh and not store bought) arugula, and marigolds as treats, as well as occasional handfuls of safflower or black sunflower oil seeds.

I’m heartbroken to be leaving them but am hoping that someone can give them a wonderful and peaceful life. Please feel free to reach out with any questions and I’d be happy to answer!

Hi! I am in Los Angeles and looking for a new home for my young cockerel. I live in the city area and just found out he's a HE. (he just started crow and comb got red in 2 weeks ago) He's 6 months old, has very calm and sweet personality. He's a very sweet little boy, if I didn't live in the city, I would never let him go. ): He is good with both human and feather friends, my pullets love him and they like to clean his beak all the time, they hang around together day to night. I am happy to drive up to 2 hours distance too! just want his happiness.

I posted more photos in here,
