Hi there! Getting our coop ready for an April/May first flock. We’re going to start with 4 pullets. I really like Featherbaby Farms in Nor Cal and she will ship, but I’d rather not put them through that.
Any heritage breeders in So Cal? We’re in Orange County but anywhere in a days drive would work. Health is our primary concern.

This is my first time raising chickens, and out of 7 hatched eggs, 5 turned out to be roosters. I've already rehomed three with friends who also raise chickens, but I still have two more looking for a new home. They are barnyard mixes—one is blue-grey and enjoys being picked up, while the other is black with orange feathering and a bit more skittish. Both get along well with children.

If you or anyone you know is looking for roosters (even for processing), and you're near the Whittier area, please let me know!
