I saw you posting on the Yahoo California Chickens thread for Polish. I am on Tricia's list to for Polish eggs also. I do have a buff laced bantam pullet that just started laying a couple of weeks ago that I am going to put one of my roosters in with pretty soon. Can't wait to hatch some of her eggs!

Her name was Karen in valley springs. I bought the last 3 bantam polish she had. These girls are 6 months old and not laying but when they do I will put them with this guy wc black frizzle a month or do younger:

I have one Polish. Bling is a BL. I have bought hens and pullets and they always turn out with something wrong. I have quit a few in my last flock, all WCB. I'd love to find chocolates!

Beautiful girls ya got there.

Had soooooo much to do, but stopped at my oldest daughter's and waited around for her to get home from work. SIL made enchiladas, so I stayed for dinner. Ate to much. I told Olivia to start looking for me an extra cheap house after Christmas. Just got home, cause she got excited and started going through her mls, and we didn't even get half way through Modesto! Grandbaby started climbing on us and the kitchen table, sop next thing we know, she has her blanket and a pillow and tell's my daughter she wants to go nite nite. ON THE TABLE! LOL Olivia tucked her in and she laid there and told me which houses to buy her. She had a long nap and really wasn't tired, she just wanted a reason to get up on the table. Found some beautiful houses and some pathetic ones. Also found some great fixers. Nothing more than 1/2 acre though and I want my animals! So keep those areas coming, so I have more places to explore.

Sunny I had left all the eggs in the bator and I think I only saw 5 or 6 developing. I have 5 out so far, so if there's nothing by tomorrow I'll open it up and check and get picks. I got more of the brown ones. They're so cute! So who needs either OEs or brown layers, cause I think my OE Jovi is they daddy.

Wish my busy had to do with holiday stuff. Just more of my black cloud following me.

I forgot to lockdown some eggs, btw. Hear peeping and thought it was outside my bedroom window in a brooder. Nope! I have chicks in the bator. No water or anything and they're hatching. I've been doing dry hatches and sometimes they don't hatch after lockdown. This time I totally forget and chicks are poping out. LOL I may have to forget more often!

Hey Kim that's not a black cloud that's a silver lining.....Good for you.

Karen, the wheaten Marans pullet I got from you just started laying for sure. Do they lay a lighter colored egg at first? Because I thought I had some fairly dark eggs in the coop, but wasn't sure they were hers. She's recently moved out to the garden to join my garden rooster's flock and I found her hidden nest today, and they're a gorgeous dark brown color now. She's the only pure Marans I have, so I'm fairly certain they're her eggs. Oh, and the two black Ameraucanas you brought me both turned out to be pullets, and they're laying in the garden too, beautiful blue eggs!

I am so jealous. Lately I have even had to resort to *gasp* buying store bought eggs! Most of the folks I know with chickens are not getting hardly any eggs right now. I grumbled the whole way!!!

My marans should be laying in a couple of months but until then...

I wish it would warm up already! It's colder here when it doesn't snow!
