My chickens do eat Pomagrantes.......right off the tree. The free ranging free loaders which are all my extra cockerels turned out to grow out to eat or take to the auction jump up & get the low growing ones. My daughter makes jelly or I would give all of them that we don't eat to the chickens. That tree is a miracle. We planted it over 32 years ago when we bought this place & it fruited almost immediately & has never stopped. It is a Simply Wonderful & I highly recommend it to anyone wanting them.
Thanks for the good wishes ladies but I have no expectations for placing at Fresno since I Sooooooooooo don't know what I am doing.....LOL Hopefully my eggs will do well. I have alot this time. I didn't put the Blue Copper eggs in the bowl but they are decent too. I have worked on egg color and have come up 2 #s so far.![]()
Always nice Karen. I wish last year hadn't been so bad for me or I'd be getting my really dark eggs also. I have however had eggs getting darker this week.and hopefully yjey
ll keep up. I guess this also makes me 2 years behind, since I lost so many after Bill died and had so many horrible hatches from then on. Sure hope this year is better, cause I miss those #8 eggs.
Good luck with the eggs and the hen.
