My chickens do eat Pomagrantes.......right off the tree. The free ranging free loaders which are all my extra cockerels turned out to grow out to eat or take to the auction jump up & get the low growing ones. My daughter makes jelly or I would give all of them that we don't eat to the chickens. That tree is a miracle. We planted it over 32 years ago when we bought this place & it fruited almost immediately & has never stopped. It is a Simply Wonderful & I highly recommend it to anyone wanting them.
Thanks for the good wishes ladies but I have no expectations for placing at Fresno since I Sooooooooooo don't know what I am doing.....LOL Hopefully my eggs will do well. I have alot this time. I didn't put the Blue Copper eggs in the bowl but they are decent too. I have worked on egg color and have come up 2 #s so far.

Always nice Karen. I wish last year hadn't been so bad for me or I'd be getting my really dark eggs also. I have however had eggs getting darker this week.and hopefully yjey
ll keep up. I guess this also makes me 2 years behind, since I lost so many after Bill died and had so many horrible hatches from then on. Sure hope this year is better, cause I miss those #8 eggs.

Beautiful eggs, Karen!!! I have one marans/ameraucana olive egger who lays dark eggs and I love them! I may have to get another Marans or two.

After seeing all the beautiful dark eggs at the Stockton show, I collected Epinene's eggs and picked out the three that were most alike to take a pic of. I also snapped a pic of one of Epi's eggs along with one of her sister's who lays an olive green egg. We collected 10 eggs yesterday from 15 laying hens. The laying season has begun!!!

Well, there is a Google map that shows the location of each of us--we are supposed to place our own pin, but it is rather touchy. If you click the wrong place to Drag the map, you can accidentally move the pins. Of course being a BYC forum, many have custom pins; horses, stars, big chickens and etc. For a couple of days now a bunch of pins have been in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean

Got ready early this morning. Left to go pick up the xrays from the hospital, but forgot the letter that came 2 days ago for my appointment, so got 6 blocks and had to come back home and pick it up. Stopped at the bank to get the money I borrowed out to pay for my dr visit and then the xrays. I glanced at the letter and it said to bring my perscriptions in the original bottles. Had to come back home and pick those up. Still had plenty of time, so they had told me yesterday that I could drop Makayla off early if I thought I'd be dropping her very late to school. Ran in and let them know I was leaving her and why." No problem, good luck at the dr." Get to the doctor and get an attitude from everyone I ask for help to find where I needed to go. Find out where I need is in the basement, get there and my appointment was yesterday! When they called they gave the date and friday and I had friday burned into my brain. While I'm there making a new appointment I get a call from my daughter. School chews her out for dropping Kayla off too early. It was 10:10 when I dropped her and she starts at 10:40. I wasn't going to drop her early, but they had suggested it and she didn't want to miss any school. I'll be visiting the office when I pick her up. I thanked the people that were in the department I needed to go to for being so nice since upstairs staff stinks. Get almost to Kayla's school so I can go find out why they tell me to do something and then threw a fit about it, but my daughter called and said everything was taken care of. I'm still going to be in that office today. Then I call the district office to set up a time for someone there to meet me at the school to go over what happened and he took the day off. Really?? So he'll be back in on wednesday.

I'm stuck in this uncomfortable splint that keeps getting wacked and has too much of a soft area. I can't get this big ole thing to be user friendly and I'm frustrated. Next appointment is the 23rd. Almost don't see a point if it hasn't been put in a cast yet, but I'll be there. Who ever this life really belongs too, I wish they'd clain it and come pick it up!
