Kim,

Sounds like great Mother's Day gifts! Take some photos to show us!

Your beadwork "history" : you certainly have the gift to do such fine work. Perhaps someday you can bring some to show us at a future meet up.

I don't know about that. I used to be able to bead just by feeling and last night I had a hard time getting a 2.5 silver bead on an eye pen.

Wish this showed the colors and details better, but this is my necklace and earrings

Kim,
Very nice! Thank you for sharing

I really wish I could get them to show up better. They are so bright and the crystals shine, but they look so dull in the pic.

My Mother's Day Hatch is still going on. I got 2 hatched just before I left on friday. Nothing hatched while I was camping and then I started getting 3 - 4 chicks a day. I also had some that either pipped or even zipped and then died, be the others are fine. This morning I woke up to a blue AM and a Phoenix out and then one of my lavender egg projects hatched. I have a lot of those, but didn't mark anyone because with my wrist brace I just couldn't get the zip ties one them or off of them, so I'm going to sell most and hatch out more. Sure hope I get some lavender layers out of them. I hope some of those FBCM eggs hatch. I'm getting zero out of them and other people have been able to hatch them out. They dorm, but they don't hatch. I've gotten one lone quail chick who hangs out with the first Phoenex chick who hatched. i think he has an identity crisis.

Wow, you are still getting eggs to hatch? That's awesome! I'd have given up hope by now.

I'm going to do a Father's day hatch-a-long, it should be good. I'm hatching OEGB (BB reds) can't wait! And no, no Jersey Giants; my moms Dorking rooster jumped out of his cage... And I need to put up new coops to have JG's.

hmmm quotes not working. How shocking.
Sunny I would have too. I was going to toss them and each time I went to do it a chick was in there. Matter of fact I have one drying out. He was half out last night but was stuck this morning, so I had to help him.
I've spent since 6:45 watching a fire burn out across the street. Dakotah left for school this morning and came back in to tell me something was on fire. My neighbor moved out this weekend which I'm sad about and came back yesterday to put her garbage can out, along with the extra trash. If it's to high here, they will either not pick it up or dump it in the street. I guess what got left behind looked like it would be interesting to watch burn, so someone lite it up. It was small, but by 7:15 I didn't want to babysit it any more and my hose wouldn't go that far, so I called and had the FD put it out. They recognized me from out new city meeting last night where I think I made a wonderful first impression. NOT! Oh and my wonderful Vanessa also must have made one. I don't know where she gets it, but I hate asking a question and having it skirted. Our new mayor and a few of many he had with him, tried to use humor to get around information and ......weeeelll, we wanted answers.
Then my news that has me ready to start crying. One of the ladies there raises her hand and says "What about all these chicken coops? Everyone has chickens and they don't need chickens!" Mayor says, "Well, chickens are grandfathered in if I'm not mistaken." then he gets a nod from someone else and says "Chickens, but no ROOSTERS!" OK first. DUH!!!! Second, who elected a man who doesn't know that they are all chickens and the difference is hen and rooster? Third, NO ROOSTERS????? My daughter and her friend jerked their heads around to see if I was alright.
Once the meeting was over we got bombarded with members who came to talk to us about our concerns. I guess they figured they better talk to us now instead of later. Our area becomes City instead of County on June 1st. I guess when Vanessa told them they didn't want her to go Oakland on them, the decided they better not fan the flames. LOL Anyway, one of the ladies there gives me some info on one of the problems and I tell her that I am trying to move, but now I have to rush. Then tell her about my birds and that I have several roosters.Another woman that was giving us info leaned in. They said not to worry to soon about the birds and that the only way I'll get caught is if someone complains. Well I hear 3 of my roos out there crowing up a storm and I can hear Lowrider with his dinky little gurgle. I do want to move, but I don't want to just take the first thing I find and I don't want to lose my boys. I love my hens, but there's just something about these roosters that make me smile. It sucks!
