OK I have more chicks for sale. Didn't mark these either, so my lav egg project is in there. Those chicks hatch so well that I get several at a time. I'm running out of space for my next hatch. Some of my older ones, almost 3 months old I think are marked so pretty that Kayla and I couldn't decide who to sell. Same with the 2 cockerels, so we're going to keep them. LOL Another "Howdy Neighbor!" move.
I'm still getting NO Game eggs, No Cuba eggs and NO Sumatra Eggs. I think it's their housing, so I really need to get them better quarters. I've gotten 1 Modern Game egg, so someone started laying. hmmm I have 6 breeds not doing anything. It's got to be something I'm not doing, so once school is out I'll have a lot more time to work on things out there. The yard I got 1/2 turned is now covered in foxtails.
I don't have anything in my raised bed, because I don't have it chicken proof. Man I'm so behind.
I forgot to tell you all what I got for Mother's Day.
My friend and I walked around to all the vendors and she kept finding opal jewelry that she couldn't pass up. Every vendor that she bought from shook my hand and said to bring her back. LOL The last place we stopped she told me not to let her buy anything else, Yeah right, she bought 2 opal braclettes and a ring. I kept looking but didn't buy anything, but I saw a table where they had big chunky abalone and crystal necklaces and there was one I fell in love with. My friend told me to buy it and then tell my daughter I picked out my gift and reimburse me. I can't do that. I didn't expect anything and I sure didn't want to go over her budget. So that was saturday. On sunday my youngest daughter walked up with a bag and said Happy Mother's Day. I pulled out the abalone necklace I had seen the day before, that I was trying to talk myself into buying. I asked if Cathy, our friend had shown it to her the day before and she said no, but she had called and asked her what it looked like and where it was. Later I went back to the same stand with daughter #2 who wanted to buy me something bigger, but I got earrings to go with the necklace. It's what I wanted. The lady that knew I wanted the necklace was there and I held it up from my neck and said "Got it and didn't have to pay for it!" She got the biggest smile and shook my hand and told me Happy Mother's Day. When I told my daughter I let her know and how she seemed so happy, she said "So that's why she looked so upset to sell it." She said she picked it out and they lasy says "this one?" in a kind of hurt voice and she kind of looked around like she wasn't sure she should let it go. awwww
Then daughter #3 says there's another gift. My 3 oldest girls are sending me to Vegas (my flights are free) along with my cousin. They'll pay for her pass and then for our hotel. I've been wanting to go, but without Bill, I have no one to go with and my cousin Nicole is a crazy person, so we'll definately have fun. So I'm going to Vegas probably next month. This weekend I have a baby shower and next weekend my grand daughter is graduating from high school, so this month has been and will be crazy. But I get to go someplace with a grownup and no kids and no wake up time. Yeah me!
