I don't even have an air conditioner. Is that vertical window outlet adapter custom or can you buy them?

Walt

We thought we were going to have to vent it through the wall because the window is vertical. When we opened the box it had that in there. So I guess it's standard with this brand. It took about 5 min to put together.

I know people think Im crazy to get an air conditioner but it can get 100+ here and that roof is clear so its like a boiler room. It's mostly bantam Polish with the exception of one Nankin pair and a trio of bantam Cochins in that coup. My Polish pant and hold their feathers out at any temp over 80. It could easily get 110 in that room so I wanted that system just to cool it to 80 so I don't have any die.

I don't even remember what AC feels like. Oh yes I do. If you want to cool of just go to the mall and sit.

Cheryl do you have fluffy white towels for your sauna birds?

OK I've had such a hard time hatching out FBCMs. Today my most recent late bird is from my hen that lays the darkest egg. Her eggs are round and it's hard to find the top. I can see diddly when I try to candle. So I look to see if I have anything else in there and it's zipping. Later I check and obviously had the egg upside down. The bottom is pushed off and my chicks feet are in the air and he's stuck to the shell. I got him out to help him, but he must have been still attached to the yolk and kicked it off. There's yolk on him and he's pulled out something through his vent. He's drying and cheeping, but I've had chicks like this before and if they don't die at first that fool me into thinking they are doing just fine and drop dead a few weeks later. I hope that isn't the case. I really want and need this one. I'm up to 3 Silver Phoenix now. I don't know when they are due since there were extras in the nest from what my broody started with and since she killed the first 3 I just grabbed them out and I'm letting them hatch as I go. I think you can tell cockerel from pullet at hatch, so I need to fine some pics to see what I have. On a good note, I've been hatching more pullets than cockerels this year. Doubt that happens with these Phoenix though.

do you leave them in the turner for their hatch? Might be you just have them upside down and they drown while pipping. Maybe you can try taking them out of the turner for lockdown. I turn by hand because i only do a couple doz at a time and not that often, but I used to put them in egg cartons to hatch...then I stopped, it smacks of effort and they hatch out of just laying the egg on its side. I even had one that pipped on the wrong end make it out on his own.

I you have them in cartons. I've hatched them laying down, but I had some really bad hatches and started back with the cartons. I think next weeks hatch I'm going to put half in cartons and half laying down and see if there's a difference.

This little FBCM had so much goo on it from all the extra stuff it was dragging around. I have never seen such a mess in my incubator. I'm going to have to scrub before I lockdown and I'm doing staggered hatches, so it will have to be quick, but aI have the Oxine sitting next to it, ready to go to work.

I have a Baby Shower in the Bay Area today and Dakotah's 16th birthday is tomorrow

MY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG! Not ready for him to be 16. We have had so much going on we haven't even made plans to do anything and the last day of school of friday. His brother and SIL are going nuts waiting to pick him up and take him to his grand mothers for the summer, so he can work and see his dad. I want him to stay home. His first summer away from home is when Bill died and I think I'm still holding on because Bill was his favorite person and he didn't get to see him that summer other than a funeral. Anyway next week I'm working on the hoop coops.

OK, birds and dogs are taken care of. Time to take care of the rabbits and get the clothes I found not washed yet from Pow Wow into the washer. I knew things were missing

Micky D's. I can't keep anything down from that place ever. Now to finally get to open the FBCM eggs I got in the mail. They delivered them as I was backing out of the driveway to leave. The box isn't damaged, so

Had to show you guys a pic of the cake one of my daughters made for the baby shower yesterday. I took so many pics of different angles, but one took maybe 2 of the whole shower. I was a little out of it and not really mingling, so at least I got the cake.

Can you tell they're A's fans? LOL
