Delawares hatch date is today! The eggs are huge, can't wait to see the size of the chicks!

Silver Penciled Rocks continue to lay fertile eggs and now I'm up to my eyeballs in chicks!!

Eggs??? Geez I need lights. My birds are still moulting though, so I want to wait until all of them are done. They need the rest.

I don't have lights on anyone, but it's nice and sunny at the ranch. The silver pencils are young so it's been about 2 months since they started laying - they didn't molt this year

Woo hoo!!! Do you have a link?

Sarah, she's beautiful......Congratulations. I think you mentioned you may have a frizzled Polish for my daughter when we were atChickenstock but maybe I misunderstood but thought I would check. I hatched 7 little Sizzles today but as you know what she really wants is a frizzled Polish like she saw at the fair.

Cheryl,
Keep us posted on those babies. I think you said you had a bunch of them & they were Braden lines. I am interested...................
Was Larry able to get the Plasson connected? I think Aaron said it sounded like he was missing a crucial part, the screw on nipple that the hose connects to. Are you going to go with gravity feed or a low pressure regulaor? I bought my regulator from a poultry supply but there are usually inexpensive ones on Ebay for about $20 I think.

I might have one in the spring. I just don't know. My sq pullet(the one pictured) stopped laying and I only have 9 babies. It just depends what I have left in the spring but if I do have one Karen I promise I will let u know!

hadn't been out in back since this morning so I don't know how long she was like this. I have a brooder full of quail out there and I went to feed and water since I'll be at a funeral all day tomorrow. I took care of rwo quail pens before I saw here.

Her middle left toe was hooked under the wood and throught the wire at the top and she was just hanging down the side. i got her unhooked and sat her down to see if she could walk, but her leg goes straight out to the side and she can't gripe with her toes. He was making so much noise when I picked her up, but she hadn't been making any noise at all when I gound her. I think her leg is dislocated. I'm not sure, but pretty sure. I don't know what to do. This my only SPPR pullet and I don't want to lose her. Her wing is straight out to the side and she doesn't want to pull it up. And I can't type!
