I drive to Fresno occassionally to buy from a breeder there. I don't think I ever see her here on BYC. My original contact with her was a Craigslist ad I think.
I have never been to the Fresno show but will be going to Stockton in Januart. That's agreat show if you are planning to go I am sure you will see alot of us there. I think someone is planning a meet up.

I was planning to go, its 2 days right? I'd probably only go on saturday, all of my chicks would be out of the brooder by then, so I could use it as quarintine....gah, I really need to get my chicken math out of control.

Last year I went for all day Saturday, but if I show this year I will have to be there both days.

Welcome Tam! Oh if you're looking for birds, we can all accomodate you I'm sure. Also if you look on the first post of this thread there is a list of regions and areas. Lots of threads for California, but this one helps us all come together and know who and what is out here.

Ryan welcome to the thread and I have added your information.

Still looking to add more breeder info. If any shows are coming up that aren't listed, please let me know. I'm also going to add family event info as much as possible this month, so let me know what ya got. I want everyone to be able to find places to take the family this month. If there is cost, please provide and if free please add FREE!!!! LOL

It's not too much longer till the Stockton show. We need to get everyone together for that one. I think if I can swing it, I'll be showing a few birds. Now to figure out who.

Forgot to mention that all 9 of Big Birds eggs that are due this week made it to lockdown! I hope I have a feww EEs to sell or keep, depending on my weekness. LOL I figure if she looks the way she does and is still the only layer out there, maybe these will be super layers too.

Please ad me to the breeders list

* Blue Laced Red Wyandottes~ A Greg Catt lines rooster (pure Lowell Barber lines) x Foley, Paul, Blue Poultry, Braden hens~ Hatching 95% blue chicks. I have been working hard on these guys and I'm producing some gorgeous birds!

* Lavender/black Lav split Ameraucanas~ Shaffer and Paul Smith lines. Young birds just starting to lay.

* Wheaten and Blue Wheaten Ameraucanas~ Pips & Peeps wheaten rooster x Paul Smith hens. Young birds just starting to lay.

* Buff Ameraucanas~ Pips & Peeps wheaten rooster x Wayne Meredith buff hens. Chicks will be first generation outcross to improve egg color (they lay a green egg) and will need to be color culled (chicks will have partridge markings) then bred back to a buff rooster. This is a long term project. These can also be kept as beautiful EEs! Young birds that have been laying for a few months.

* Bantam Buff Laced Polish~ Not laying yet.

* Easter Eggers~ Mature birds that lay either blue or olive green eggs. Bred to my Pips & Peeps wheaten rooster so egg color on their offspring should be very pretty.

There's a So Cal thread here on BYC. There is a link to it on the Opening Post of this thread.
I lived in Fresno for a couple of years. Went to Fresno State and my youngest son was born there. No I never did meet any chicken folks there either. Sorry, I'm no help am I?

All of the links for California are on the first post of this thread. Matter of fact if I've missed any, which I don't think I have, please post it here and I'll add it.
