I went out to work on one and the wind chilled me to the bone, so I can inside and worked. lol

I really need to get that backyard and coops done.

It was actually really nice yesterday and today! I bundled up to head outside but ended up shedding the hat, gloves and coat before too long cause I got too warm! As soon as the sun started to set though... BRRRRR, it got cold real fast!

It is slow on here with out you and Seth and Aubrey and Sheryl. Where is everyone?
Should we start sending out phone calls? or should we just go start to the tracking hounds?

Ha ha ha ha ha! It's always slow around the holidays. Too too much to do!
I'm off again though. Too tired to keep my eyes open.....

Night Sunny. I feel bad about that lame hug I have you at the show. i was in the middle of running around like a turkey is this time of year. And only gave you that lame hug.

Pretty rabbits. Someone sold some like that at the auction last week or a couple of weeks ago. I was wonder what they were.

All of my Lionheads have lost all their manes and skirts. They just look like plain old rabbits right now. I sure hope they get it back soon. I don't want them too cold.

I think I'm getting a couple of Hollands pretty soon. They're still with momma. This will be a new breed for me.

I'm not breed savy enough to even know what else we have. Two are bucks my daughter and I bought for pets for my grand daughter and the other I think is a Netherland, but I'm not positive. Need to get pick taken around here.

Sitting here using some of the nipples for waterers on gallon vinegar bottles until I get the rest of what I need for the PVC I bought. I need more buckets and have no idea what parts I need to pick up to add the tubing to everything. Until I have it all together though, I need to have more water available and these will do for now.

I made some feeders that didn't work like they started out, so those will be another project. At least I can do these inside when its too cold.

Tomorrow I'm going to drive down the street and ask about some smallish plywood I saw out near a sidewalk. Hope they are trying to get rid of it.

Want me to add you? And what lines of Wellies do you have? I need a roo

Kim I have a friend that has a Welsummer rooster that I keep at my house in a separate cage because she is not allowed rooster at her place. Maybe you could talk to her about borrowing him. She has several girls & wants to experience hatching chicks so she is keeping him here for furture use. Her first trio came from Pinkchicks up in Washington thru Cheryl in Lafayette. Then she bought several pullets from a lady down south of here who is on facebook. I can't recall her name right now. PM me if you want contact info.

That might work Karen. One less too to feed. LOL

I've spent the last week introducing roos I've had separated by breed with my hens, to all the other roos. I have Just a couple more. I've always kept Clyde in his own space because he would take on everyone out there and it would just be a mess. Most of my younger birds are much bigger than him now. He got his butt kicked a couple of times by the FBCM hens more than any of the other roos. Now if I can just get Ziggy in the mix. He gets nuts when any of the others get near his girls, even through the wire. He's going to take some time, but that's ok. He'll get used to the others eventually. If it's not to cold out anf I don't have to run for someone, I may stay out there with himn tomorrow. I just don't like the idea of leaving them and taking a chance something happens.

Anyway I don't know why I hadn't done this before. I have such crumby accomadations of my babies and I need to start making it nicer out there. So once the boys all get used to eachother they're getting put into one penned area and the hens in another and then the smaller coops and pens for my bantams. Then I'm using the old spaces for pens for the rabbits and the quail will go in the wire layer cages. My poor quail. I lose those more than anything. My tarp is missing from their cages and I froze some of them last night. I'm just not doing well with my quail venture. I haven't really been working on my lighting yet either so need to do that too. I was going to process a bunch of quail roos, but I was watching my neighbors trying to catch their doves to cook for Thanksgiving. They raise them for the eggs. I asked if they'd like to have some of the quail to process, so the kids ran in and asked and came back out smiling with a box in hand. Said their mom was so happy she didn't have to use the doves. I keep doing that! I love quail and have yet to eat any since I got them. I've processed, but then same thing. They needed to eat and I gave them what I had. At least I didn't have to do the processing. Still a little wigged on that. Not the cleaning, but .......well you know.
