Hi every one,

I am probably about two or more years away from considering myself a breeder.

I am just getting started eventually I want:

Guineas, Sumatras, Ameraucanas, and Welsummers.

Also want to sell eggs both for eating and hatching.


Right now I only have Guineas and until I get my breed house built this is where it will remain.

Oh and I live in San Diego County. Up in the high desert. (for here)

Got family all over CA from Sacremento all the way down to here.

Welcome to the thread. You know since you'll probably be starting to sell hatching eggs next season you should get your list started and just mention when you'd be offering them.

When I have a place for them I'm getting Guineas again. I love them.

You have some of my breeds listed. Hopefully later on we'll be trading or buying from eachother.

this is wonderful, I'm going to be looking to trade/sell/buy some of my chicks once i'm certain what they are. I think I'm going to trade away my blue wheaton/wheaton ameraucana, I'm pretty sure I have 1 hen and 4 roos. I'll be looking for BBS, I got 2 hens and 1 roo. Aside from the numbers, theres no way I'm going to make any more coops and pens to segregate color.

Oh, maybe we can trade roos once mine are grown! They're still little, about a month old, but one of the ones that I think is a roo is getting alot of blue in the feathers on his back.

I have BBS and Lavs that are coming up on POL, so hopefully I'll be able to hatch some out soon.

I'm still working on my backyard and hopefully will be caught up this week sometime. I'm thinking I may decorate somehow out back. That way the birds have extra light. Sneaky huh? hehe

Just stopping in to say "Hi". Been working on the coop and the shed/dog house this week. Busy with holidays and company but wanted to check in anyway.
