Quote: Great looking eggs Sunny.
I have a BCM pipping this morning from an egg I didn't think would hatch. The egg was super dark, but covered in mud. They had laid it in the run. I decided what the heck and threw it in the incubator anyway. At lockdown, I couldn't see a thing through the shell and caked mud, but the egg felt heavy so I left it in. Everything else in the hatch was finished, but at day 23 this egg started to pip and now there is a fairly good sized hole. Go chickie!!!!![]()

Yes nice eggs! I have to get some pictures of mine before they get lighter, I have some nice ones now. Marans take their own sweet time to get out. I don't get rid of those eggs till 25 or 26. Silkie eggs however rarely go over 21, and often like to hatch early.Great looking eggs Sunny.
