Yes, we are going to have a huge flock now! I want 50 layers and a whole lot more for my breeding projects.

Not to mention all the little ones that don't count against the total.

DH misses the flock even more than I do so I'm trying to get some ASAP. I have an order in at 2 different places already so I have a good start but boy it's tempting to jump in the car right now, spend the night down there and come back in the morning, fully loaded with that very generous offer!!!

They're here for the taking

. I want to give a BYCer a chance to buy them at a cheaper price. If I don't get any replies in a couple of days I will post on Craigslist for a slightly higher price. With that price I am basically asking $30 for the Marans, and $10 each for the others.

(Actually the White Ameraucanas should be fetching more since they are 'true' and I *think* they are originally from the Pips & peeps line, though I'm not entirely sure on that. They should be around $20 each since they are older and close to laying age, which I would think is around 24 weeks.)

BTW, what's the fastest way to get from Reno to Lancaster? I have never been to Reno or the Lake Tahoe area. I really want to go and see that region.

Hello. From the Central Coast. Thanks for doing this. I think it is a great idea to post links to the sub areas' threads like the OP did and also have a whole state thread for members to share ideas and happenings.

Actually it's only a little over 8 hours. Straight down 395 to 14 and a beautiful drive too. I've had to do deliveries in Mammoth Lakes and it is a wonderful drive to that point. Looks like you just follow along the east side of the Sierras the whole way. It seriously looks like a drive I'm gonna have to make sometime. If I hadn't committed to donating platelets tomorrow I'd really be having a hard time not leaving right now!

Now talking DH into it would be a different story.

I can usually convince my SO to take me somewhere "far" but we LOVE to get in the car and travel. We drove almost 3 hours (even though it was only 90 miles away) to pick up Marans, but the trip was fruitless. Then we ended up having another 'appointment' and drove an hour away to pick up the Marans and that's how I got my Blue CM.

The other CA thread is a little big and it's good to also have a 'consolidated' CA thread like the Kansas one.
