Thank you Deb

I just hope I keep it up. LOL

This was an idea to help us find eachother without having to use each and every California thread to do it.

I wanted to add the shows and events so we had an idea where things were and could make arrangements to travel if need be.

The other threads are great. They help all of us in all the areas communicate and not get lost, but to be able to locate something on one thread when you don't care how far you have to go, just made since too.

I hope more people start visiting and enjoying it.

I'm enjoying it and appreciate it. I don't post as much as I would like to because I'm usually in bed on my iPhone trying to fall asleep and it's harder to type on the iPhone.

Just wanted to say that I'm glad you created the thread and I follow it. I'll try to post more.

It's nice to know it's being read.

And YES! You do have to post more often, hehe

Ohhhhh Sunny. I want some!!!!

They are so cute!

Eggs here are scarce right now. I hate that I have so few to incubate and the ones I do get are the mixes. Go figure.

Wonder if I could get my daughters to plan a weekend trip to Reno. Then I'd have to find a way to get to the show if I sneak off.

I just got a bunch of BCMs from Debi at Heaven Sent Ranch! Here's a pic of a few of them. Really enjoyed meeting her! DH says we are a lot alike (I think he means we are both very independant women that know what we do and do not like). Here's pics of a few of them...

What adorable little babies!!! We are supposed to be taking a year off from chicks since we are slightly over our legal limit. I just don't know if I can do it! It is not even spring and I'm feeling the "need" for chicks!

Debi is who I got my Polish from, kicking myself for not picking up a few Marans! I knew you and Debi would hit it off! When i picked up my chicks I wanted to stay and chat with her for hours but I had to get back home. Very nice person!

So glad you got your chicks! So darn cute!

You know we would pick you up Kim! We'll head out early before your daughters wake up.

Yes eggs are scarce this time of year, she had to do a few staggered hatches to get my full order. Harder time of year to hatch also.

Thanks Kirstie! I just love the BCMs! Thanks for the referrals a while back!

She remembered you too Pam. She kept saying what a beautiful woman you were! "Simply gorgeous" she said. Yes you were right when you said we would hit it off. She is the kind of woman you can look up to. Not afraid to speak her mind! I always admire that!

Debi you know resistance is futile!!!

JK - Normally that's where I am as well this time of year but at this time I am madly trying to rebuild my flock. I have more coming in spring and am going to try and hatch a few out the end of November, actually it will be into December before they hatch! Oh boy! Don't tell my Hubby that these babies will be spending winter inside with us! He hasn't thought that far in advance yet.

Wow Sunny what a compliment.... I think it's the strong woman gene more then the physical gene, but thank you for sharing....at my age I'll take all and any compliments!

BTW, I know my post was redundant regarding getting our chicks from the same place but for the CA thread it was new....just so you know my mind is still in tact.....mostly...

I'm so disappointed.

My Little Jovi is so pretty. He's out of my Blue AM roo that was stolen in March and one of the FBCM hens. I've babied him and I just love him. I decided he's going to stay so I have lots of Olive Eggers later on.

Well, one of my pullets has had some drastic changes over the past couple of days. HE is gorgous though. He doesn't have the feathered shanks I like so much on Little Jovi, but otherwise, I had to do a double take. YEP...........another roo! They are so big and so pretty. I was thinking of also rehoming Sterling, but I keep changing my mind on him. He's so big and beautiful, but he was a lav cull and definately doesn't look it. I actually wish I had more that looked like him. Still if he went to a great home, I'd let him go. I think.

I also have 2 little cockerels I was going to rehome, but now I need a good home for this guy. The others are a Pene x Bantam Wellie. Been trying to get some pullets out of my cross to improve egg color on the bantam Wellies (they don't have as dark eggs as LF) but I can't get a pullet to save my life. The other is FBCM over Olive Egger. He's starting to look more like a FBCM and does have lkight feathering if I remember right.

Sooooooo ....................Who needs a roo????

No worries. I do the same thing. I know everyone can't be on every thread. Repetition is expected.

And I know exactly what you mean by the strong woman gene. I consider that more valuable than anything else. The one is just an accident of nature, the other is a matter of honor and conviction.

So I'm thinking this other blue roo might just be BBS AM and not an Olive Egger. That would be nice. Then I can keep him. Still need to rehome the others or take them to the auction on monday.
