LOL! My 2 oldest granddaughters are the same way. I keep teasing our kids that I'm turning them into farmers.

I so love that Coy loves the animals & loves to be outside working with us. We are so lucky to have them out here with us where we get to share their lives everyday. He has "no fear". His 10 year old sister on the other hand is scared of her own chickens & heaven forbid if she gets aa little poop on her............LOL. She is such a dear but just NOT into the chickens...........I love that we all have the oportunity to make different choices for ourselves.

Ha ha.

I don't have any grandchildren that mind a little poop but they may change their minds as they get older. Kids have a way of doing that.

I agree it is so awesome how different they all are. We have a two year old granddaughter that can't seem to tolerate the chickens. She once begged to hold a chick then threw it because it tickled! The two older ones never had that reaction! Don't worry we caught the little guy and no harm came to him but ever since then she doesn't get to hold the chickens (much to her older sister's delight).

Ok Kim R & Pam. Here are pics of my two GSDs. It's hard to tell how much bigger the male is from these photos but I couldn't get them to sit still and pose!

Feel free to pm me your thoughts. I would have emailed the photos but I can't attach them from BYC. WARNING PIC HEAVY! Scroll to the end of this post now if you have no interest in GSDs.

You asked for side, back, front etc and I did the best I could... Here's the 2 of them first. Click on the pics to enlarge, you can click once more when opened to enlarge even more. Sorry both dogs are very dusty but that goes with the territory when you live in the desert.

Here's Delilah, Samson snuck into the photo at the last second but it's the best rear photo of her... She is paler than I like but he is so dark I thought they might balance each other out.

Here's Samson... He was a little more cooperative w pics but not much more.

Ok I know I'm probably missing a couple of the angles you asked for Kim and the side x side shot but Steve was working on the coop (a priority right now) and I couldn't get them to sit still and be behind the camera at the same time.

I think Samson is better looking.
Once again t I don't like the American Sheperds ( I think they should be different breeds).
I love the stocky built dogs.
But I do livestock judging in 4-H so I like wide leg set and a good smooth top line. I think it applies to all animals though.
Nothing against Delilah.

I'm afraid I am agreeing with you. Someone had said that the leaner dogs can be better as work dogs because they are more agile but Samson runs hoops around this girl. Though that could be because the lady that had her never exercised her. Can you imagine never exercising a GSD?!!!

I probably won't breed her unless Kim disagrees with me but she sure is happier here with us! She acts like she has died and gone to heaven getting to run around with us and Samson to her heart's content!

I disagree with the leaner working dogs.
First a stocky built dog like Samson has the leg with to move them out in front more and carry him better then a small built dog.
Second a small built dog is to light to tackle like a real Shepered would

Ha ha! You are right there! A hit from her wouldn't faze a fly! Samson can knock you off your feet in a flash if you aren't watching your step. He is doing really well these days but when we first got him... Hoo boy! You could tell he'd had no guidance before. His first owner was a sweet kid but had no experience with GSDs.

IMHO a GSD is a manly dog just like the rotts.

I'm on my phone so I'll look closer tomorrow on my computer but what I see on Delilah is that she needs a chiropractor. Unless its just the pictures, she holds her tail to her left. I noticed it right off. She needs an adjustment. And besides that she looks SO happy! I'll try to give some critique when I can look closer but I breed Cockers, Kim's your girl here. Also, I don't think they're off in size as much as I expected, remember to allow for gender.

Thanks Pam! I'll have to pay attention to her tail now. I hadn't noticed that.

OK, I'll wait for Kim to chime in now.
