I was a super shy kid. I never would have asked someone I didn't know really well what I was supposed to do. I would've just guessed too. Sounds like you are gonna have to cover for the other adults not paying attention as well. Get the maintenance workers to move the desk. You shouldn't have to do that. Good luck!!!

Believe it or not this was me too. I got 5 doors away from home once and they found me and picked me up and took me back to school, then had my mom pick me up.



Guess what I found today! 2 count em 2 eggs in a nesting box! One from Shady, so an olive and one that's much smaller and dark brown, but not Marans dark. I think one of my mixed pullets is laying!

I think it's one of my FBCM x Game girls. I'm so happy! I really like those mixes and I hope they lay lots of eggs like the Games do. I'm sticking them into the incubator when I get a few more. The next generation will probably be more on the Marans side, but hopefully with more eggs. We'll see.


Hey, maybe the FBCM girls will kick in before the weekend and I can enter some. That would be cool.

Are you gonna have a few hatching eggs for me still? I was getting eggs from someone else but that's not gonna work right now and I already promised Aubrey that I'd hatch a few of hers with mine. Hey I should double check who has what eggs for sale on the sale thread.

Yeah I can do that. I'll bring you what I get starting ......hmmmmmm Tomorrow? They should be fine, especially since they aren't being shipped. I've set Shady's eggs at almost 4 weeks with little attention and they still hatched.

Don't worry about it. If you don't get enough then just don't stress about it. Even 2 EE or OE eggs would be cool. I'll go see what folks have in the way of hatching eggs on the sale thread.

I'm pretty sure the one mixed pullet that I got from you, and who survived the murdering cockerel is laying. She lays a darker egg than my Wyandottes, but not as dark as my one Marans pullet. It's a nice size too.
