Someone posted on the Marans thread that they give chicks with wry neck a drop of b vitamins. I think it was a kids liquid that you give with a dropper. She said she barely gets a drop on the end of the dropper and touches it to the chicks beak.

Might be something to look up

These are the funny Dorking Crosses with the Marans. The Marans with the copper in the back, is that always a Cockerel?



The white and colorful one in the middle is a Cockerel. The Dorking Cross at the right is the one with the green legs and the beard. The Dorking Cross at the left looks the most like an SG Pullet but has too bright of color in the breast.



And of course some Baby pictures. The RIR is a Heritage RIR form Dick Hortsman. The other three are Cream Legbars.



The RIR is 1 week old and the Cream Legbars are 2 weeks old

Yea I was gonna look it up today but for some reason he is not having any problems this morning. IDK why but it seems to have cleared up on it's own. In fact as freaky as he looked yesterday today I can't pick him out of the group! Very happy about that!

So I am up to 10 BCMs now. 3 of them were from my own pullets. I had every intention of marking them when they hatched so I would know which were which but they hatched at night, then they jumped the divider so I have no idea which ones are mine. I can probably tell once they get older since most of my pullets have too much leg and foot feathering and the others shouldn't have that issue. In fact a couple of my marans girls look almost like cochins their feet are so fluffy!!! haha Is it terrible that I like this look? My main focus is egg color so I am not gonna stress about cute fuzzy feet.

Today is my oldest child's 35th birthday. I'm trying to figure out how that happened ... wasn't I just 35 not that long ago?! Time is seriously zipping by, faster all the time.

I just took the eggs out of the box a broody and non-broody shared. And I opened them all fine but one, it had a undeveloped chick in it. Pictures anyone?
