California white? Black legs.

OR, could this egg be from the GLW? It’s the color of our old GLW, which is what I truly expected. HOWEVER, I watch that one lay her first a couple days ago and it was the color of our Brahmas, NOT the color our old Wyandotte laid. I didn’t see this one lay this tan egg.

The GLW color is what we got from our last one, and the color this egg in question is. So I guess the next question is can a first egg be a good bit darker that eggs after that? Can they change their shade?

Yes the first eggs (and first eggs after a molt or other non laying period) are often darker than coming eggs.
I had an easter egger that laid olive colored but by mid summer they were green....cammo.

Your hen is beautiful, but I think she is an Austra White. Austra Whites have black legs and black splashing that is similar to your hen. This is my California White, Cali (Calla Lily). White feathers with a few black specks, bright yellow legs. She lays extra-large pure white eggs. Came from Privett Hatchery.
