I'm a newbie. I have a california white pullet... that turned out to be a rooster... and I'm wondering if it is capable of fathering little chickies in our flock. It is a cross between a white leghorn hen and a california grey rooster.

Of course. Chickens don't read Standards of Perfection. They don't know they're hybrids. They are chickens. If they are healthy and normal, and 99% of them are, they reproduce just fine. Of course, either a hen or an incubator will have to actually hatch the eggs.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have all different breeds running together and I hatch out mixed chickens all the time. He'll start struttin and crowing soon and not long after you should have some fertile eggs. Now is the decision o hatch via hen or incubator. Not all breeds of chickens are broody though. I usually hatch with an incubator but I'll let a hen hatch a clutch on her own every season. I should warn you now that hatching can be very addicting! LOL
