Thanks for clearing that up. Where the heck do all these EE's come from when it seems like no one ever has a regular Ameraucana?

Hatcheries churn out EEs in huge numbers by crossing blue egg layers with brown egg layers and then often and incorrectly market them as Ameraucanas or Araucanas. Sadly many chicken owners purchase them thinking that they are getting true Ameraucanas or Araucanas. Statistically speaking, USA hatcheries sell more EEs than any other breed or hybrid.

She's an Easter egger. I'm not sure there are many breeders or silver Ameraucana, and I'm sure you'd pay dearly for their stock.
