This is my Rode Island Red
And this is my Production Red apparently TS messed up? They don't look the same so thats why I was wondering If my big girl was a Golden sex link.
Production Reds are a mix of red gene parents and do not have the uniformly dark red coloring that true Rhode Island Reds possess. In addition, they sometimes have some white tips in their feathering which is a result of White Leghorn that was infused at some point into their ancestry to increase egg production. Red (Golden) Sex Links typically have a much more profusion of white feathers in their tails that your bird does as you can see in the picture of the Golden Sex Link below. She does have white under fluff, and some of her feathers are tipped white.
