California White or White Leghorn?

Hi everyone...

Thank you so much for your help in the past!

Seems I got my friends interested in keeping chickens- I did warn them it is highly addictive- so they are leaving the choice of chickens up to an already confirmed chicken addict- me!

They mainly want egg production, color doesn't matter to them- and they are not interested in broilers- just pure egg production.

So the first breed to come to mind was white leghorn- but then I saw something about california whites and how they are calmer... Calm is good, but egg production is highly important too...

Some places say California whites are flighty too, some don't say just how many eggs they produce... So I am really stuck on what to advise my friends...

So I thought I would come to the experts! YOU!

My leghorns lay like crazy. I have had them since they where chicks and they aren't that flighty.

If they are interested in a different breed other than those two my sex-links lay just about a egg a day and they are very sweet birds.

I just got White Rocks. They are brown egg layers and heavier, dual purpose birds. Suppose to be good layers.
