No that won't work, have at least three females per each male. The males can be agressive twoards each other. They are very social and in fact they do better in groups than just pairs, in the winter they flock in coveys wich can number up to one-hundered or more birds. I have seen them in the wild and the females always out number the males. Also in the aviary you intend to keep them in, be sure to provied them with lots of roosting sticks, unlike most quail the preffer to be in the trees and bushes rather than on the ground.
