I have a brown bibbed hen that I've had for about a year next week I will be picking up a blue bibbed Drake and a black bibbed hen, I know the blue black combination will only produce blues or blacks however I have one source saying that half of my male offering from the blue chocolate cross will be chocolate and the other half saying all of The offspring will be blue or black.
I know chocolate is recessive but is it that far recessive under the blue black silver gene?
At the moment I do not plan on breeding the chocolate (she is only pet quality) however if I did I would like to know what I can expect

Chocolate is recessive but sex linked.
For males they need one copy from each parent to express the color. Your male offspring would only be getting one copy so ya no Chocolates just blue and black.
Female offspring only have a spot for one copy so if they get one they'll express it. If they don't get one they won't. Females inherit that from their fathers only so with your pairing no Chocolate females only blues and blacks.
The males can have one gene and you wouldn't know it by looking at them. If your blue male had a Chocolate parent your pairing could produce 50% of their offspring being Chocolate.

I'm not sure on his parentage but I will ask when I pick him up
