Call Duck Eggs - Due To Hatch 7/16!!! - Photos Added!! 7/15

I've got six call duck eggs setting under a broody cochin bantam. They are due to hatch on thursday of this week (7/16/09). I candled them today and all of them seem to be developing properly. The air sac/cell has increased to almost 1/3 the size of the egg, which is to be expected at this stage of development. And I heard definate movement in all of them. I am excited. These will be my first call ducks. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

UPDATE 7/15: First duckling was born this morning, another one hatched this afternoon, and three others are pipping right now! Photos below!

By this evening, 5 out of the 6 eggs had hatched. Unfortunately, the 6th duckling developed but died today before it was able to hatch (i.e. I heard it peeping inside the egg yesterday). So, I am now thrilled to have 5 white call ducklings... a very good hatch rate. They are being raised by one of my bantam cochin hens. I am working on building them a pen and small pond next to the chicken house.
