call duck eggs. *UPDATE* New pic last post

I let you in on a secret Ive used for years with sucess with small numbers of helped hatches.
If your having a hard time keeping humidity up you can create a second incubator atmosphere inside the incubator using sandwich baggies.
Place a few small holes in bag for ventilation and put warm wet cotton balls inside with open egg.
Keeps baby from drying out and opening the main incubator has no effect on drying them out while you help out clutchmates.
Used this for years doing parrots.

OOH, I like that idea. Thank you so much. I am going to try that. And thank you for the link. I felt so much better and prepared after reading it. I thought I had seen it before, but could not find it when I searched. I have a hard time with the search feature. You have been very helpful, and I am very grateful.​

Here is a pic of the first dry baby. 1 more is out, but still wet. 2 are still absorbing yolk. 1 didn't make it-bled out. I have 3 more under broody, I think due in 4-5 days.

Thanks guys. The first baby is very active, I added another pic. The second baby is still very tired. I had to wash him/her to get the dried yolk off. He/she doesn't open it's eyes much. I hope it perks up like the first one did. The remaining 2 babies are still absorbing yolk. About a pea size yolk to go. Does it always take almost 24 hours to absorb the yolk? It seems like forever.
