Call Duck Eggs ???

I just brought 2 breeding pairs of call ducks (one white pair and one blue fawn and a brown one) how old do they have to be to start laying? ( females that is lol) and when do they start laying?

Also i wonderd how many eggs they lay a year?

Hi, i think you are looking at about 5 months, that seems to be the general answer to this question

they lay in the early spring for a few months......a few call hens lay in the fall, but not many.

I bought my trio last year in the summer...hatched that spring...they both started laying in Feb and laid for a few months.
If there were too many cloudy days they would take a break...seem very sensitive.
My other ducks have been khakis and the hen laid a ton! Nearly all year...
Oh well, that's why they are more expensive!
