Call Duck Genetics

My black bibbed call duck hatched some ducklings a couple of weeks ago. So the father is a grey color, but the ducklings all look black-bibbed. What is the reasoning behind this?

The genetics just didn't take the dads or the colors won't show till they get their feathers

Not sure what you mean by "grey" color but...
Black is dominant over it and Bibbed is a dominate.
