I ended up intervening yesterday afternoon. Glad I did. I used a dremel and put a hole into the aircell and once I was in there, discovered the membrane inside to be completely dried up. Almost no moisture inside the eggs. I removed a good part of the shell around the entire aircell and moistened and pulled the membrane back to allow the babies to try and get themselves out. I have 2 completely out and 4 most of the way out but still attached to the bottom of the shell. I am keeping the humidity high in the incubator and just seeing what happens. They are all sleeping alot. They seem pretty weak compared to ducklings I have hatched in the past, but maybe my others did this too, I cant remember. I removed the two that were completely out of their shell and placed them into the brooder. They are tired and sleeping mostly. I offered a little sugar water hoping to give them a little energy, but they are not interested yet. We have one still mostly encased in the shell. His little beak is out and appears to be a bit deformed on the beak. The beak is narrow through the middle and you can see his tongue on the sides. Not sure if he will completely hatch or if he did if he would even be viable. I will try and post pics later of the two in the brooder and also one I took of one of the eggs with membrane shrink wrapped to the baby. Something must be off in my incubator for this to happen. I was misting once a day and according to the incubator, the humidity was at about 65% through the entire incubation except for lock down which I bumped up to 70%. Good luck with your hatch tomorrow MissD.
