Hey guys,
First time posting here but I have been using this site for ages. I have 2 call duck eggs that have made it to day 24. Today I noticed that one of the eggs have internally pipped, now I have done a lot of reading before incubating these and realise that a lot of them need to be assisted in hatching. I’m no stranger to assisting as I did have done it with eggs previously including one of my pigeons successfully. This evening I decided to make a safety hole in the egg that’s internally pipped just in case. I won’t lie I’m really nervous and just want to know if I’m doing everything right and not messing up, is it just a waiting game now? When do you guys proceed to open up more of the shell in the air cell?
