I'm sure this has been talked about before but when I searched I only found for chickens with soft eggs. The last two days now my call duck hen has layed soft shell eggs. What can I do to fix this?

pretty sure it's a lack of calcium, and you need to feed her more oyster shell.

I have found that oyster shell really helps, even if they have limestone or grit available. I use all of the above free-choice.

That said, if they are pullets or new to laying, sometimes their first couple of eggs will be soft shelled.

I would just set out a little separate hopper of oyster shell...even when the feed has it in it they sometimes need more so they'll go for it!
