Call Duck Hen

How many eggs does my call duck need until she will start setting on them?

I just got 2 hens to go with my drake, the guy I bought them from said she will only fit on 6, however she should lay 12 eggs twice a year. He told me after she lays 6 to take the other 6 and put them in the incubator. This is my first time with calls, so I'm new at this.
