So I did do my research but now I’m second guessing myself as my eggs have arrived and are resting until tomorrow when they go in my incubator. I have a hovabator with egg turner and have used the zoomed temp/humidity gauge but I’m super paranoid. The past week I’ve moved the gauges around a bit and find I get wildly different answers. My hovabator’s temp is pretty steady and so long as I place the gauges in the middle and they aren’t touching anything they read the same as the incubators.

Also I’ve heard multiple different answers on humidity??? I had mine set to 99.8 degrees and chilling about 54% humidity, but I’m seeing people who use 34%???

Also - this is my first time hatching eggs. Like ever. So of course I pick one of the hardest ones to hatch 😭

I do plan to do cooling/misting starting at day 7, but I was confident with my humidity and now I’m kinda freaking out that’s it’s wrong

I’ve only hatched regular ducks twice last year for is my first time and I was also having a lot of questions about the humidity. I ended up letting it be a little bit drier than the machine and the standard suggest because a lot of people on here did say they use less humidity. It ended up on me about a third of the eggs I started with hatched.
