call duck losing neck feathers

good morning - I have only had call ducks for 4 months - so everything is still new to me

I have a 4month old magpie call duck (male I think) that is losing feathers around his neck only.. it is the normal or is something else going on...?

they are eating flock grower by purina and get fresh water to drink and swim in everyday

Sounds like he might be entering his molt to adult feathering.

They go from fuzz to feathers to molt to adult feathers.
