My male white call duck looks like his cheeks are getting larger even though he is grown. He is this years hatch and should be close to breeding age. Around his cheeks to the base of his bill is larger today than it has been. Any ideas?

Sinus infection is fairly common with calls (I am guessing because their sinuses are larger than normal to give them special call look) Just to be clear I am not guessing about sinus infections being common in calls, just the reason why. I think treatment involves antibiotics. but I really don't what or dosage so I'll leave that up to the call experts. If you don't get an answer with this post, try again with both calls and sinus infection in the sublect line. Good Luck!

if it is not a infection......

The head, body, and cheeks will continue to "fill out" for a year. That is why some breeders hold on to the ducklings for as long as possible before culling.
