Call Duck with yolk not absorbed

Hey Sundown...just wanted to let you know..I am in the same boat with runners. I had them in a bator...2 internally pipped and died in the shell, one hatched fine by itself and 2 I thought I would "help". One's yolk sac isn't absorbed (trying the sandwich bag thing...say a prayer for the little guy) and the other appears to be OK, although I didn't get a good look at his belly and he is weak. What a bummer. I am encouraged to hear that you tried the bag thing last year and had some success. I have tried it twice before on chicks and neither survived. I think they all would have died if I hadn't intervened. I think my humidity was too low in the hatcher. I just ordered an electronic hygrometer/thermometer b/c I DO NOT want to do this again!! Better luck next time! (Oh, btw...I hatched call and cayugas under silkies last year and got like a 90% hatch rate).
