Hi ive raised two call ducks one male one female for 2 years sadley we woke up one morning to find the male had gone not sure if when my children closed hutch he got threw there legs and they locked the other one up not knowing he gotten out.but since he as gone the female will not eat and is acting strange and will go mad when left.ive got her a new male but they just keep fighting when ever they get close what to do plz help only had male a day as of yet ???

She is more than likely stressed her mate is gone.Give her some time to re coop and adjust to the new changes.You may need to separate the male and female.Splitting there pen in half would be good.I would inspect there coop and make sure there isn't any place a animal could snatch them out of.

Hi the hutch has no sign of any wear or gaps but isnt to big as upstairs n down as they are only used as pets we give them range of the garden while we are out with them then close them away at night my female isnt attacking the male she goes over to him but he attacks and goes 4 her soon as she goes close only had him a day has brought him from a near by farm who has a few. my male has been gone around a week.plus dont realy want to have to seprate them if possible in the long run

Is he attacking her or trying to breed her?...He might be a bit scared of her and unsure of his surroundings ....I never worry and have never had any problems...Give it time...

Thanx they seam to be doing ok nw he just nips at her if she goes by tge water but he following her nw so fingers crossed .

Awesome! They need time to adjust to each other...I'm sure it will be a love match..
