Call duckling has red on feet

No unless like you said they have been pecking at his feet. Being so tiny they probably think he’s wind up toy! Just kidding but that’s what it reminded me of when it was running around yesterday 💓
Thanks again for all your help! He does look like a little toy! :lau I’ve seen him pick at their feet as well so I don’t know if that’s the case. I’ll monitor him and most likely separate. He’sa very spunky little fella and I want to keep it that way!:love Surprisingly enough he is more energetic than the two bigger ones!

Yeah, I've seen that before, and have seen other posters report the same problem, I'm not sure of the cause, from my experience it didn't pose a problem, but it wouldn't hurt to pay closer attention to the duckling for the next few days/weeks.

Thank you so much. I’ve never seen this before so thank you a lot for the information. I will monitor little Butterscotch very closely. She’s a very special little duckling! 🥰

Well I have an update. I left for a while then came home and checked little butters while doing my nightly rounds. She/he was very happy and running around, upon further examination I realized that the red was completely gone and it’s little feet looked completely normal again! So weird right! Everyone is doing well and I observed for a while and saw no signs of pecking or bullying so I left the little with it’s siblings. I’m tellling you this little duckling has me completely baffled! :lau:confused:

Here’s its little feet now. I also thought I’d give the update that it has also not breathed through its mouth at all anymore or had any water in it’s nares.

Interestingly enough little butterscotch’s feet look normal this morning as well. It’s running around with the others and is still extremely entergetic. I’m not sure what the red was from but I’ll keep monitoring its feet.
