Lately I’ve been having some trouble with this little duckling. It’s been doing well despite and it runs around happy with the others. This is the little butterscotch call duckling described in the thread “call duck pen ideas”. I really have no idea what this could be and am quite concerned. It’s not acting different and it still runs around and is very active. These weren’t here this morning and I’m baffled. I did change their bedding this morning to a kind I’ve never used before but the others don’t have this. She/he’s a week old and very precious to me. Any help is appreciated. @Miss Lydia or @Isaac 0 can you be of assistance? Thanks.

No unless like you said they have been pecking at his feet. Being so tiny they probably think he’s wind up toy! Just kidding but that’s what it reminded me of when it was running around yesterday 💓
Thanks again for all your help! He does look like a little toy! :lau I’ve seen him pick at their feet as well so I don’t know if that’s the case. I’ll monitor him and most likely separate. He’sa very spunky little fella and I want to keep it that way!:love Surprisingly enough he is more energetic than the two bigger ones!

Yeah, I've seen that before, and have seen other posters report the same problem, I'm not sure of the cause, from my experience it didn't pose a problem, but it wouldn't hurt to pay closer attention to the duckling for the next few days/weeks.

Thank you so much. I’ve never seen this before so thank you a lot for the information. I will monitor little Butterscotch very closely. She’s a very special little duckling! 🥰
