I just realized last night that I never posted pictures of last week's hatch!

These guys are 1 week old. Can you tell who my favorite is?

The tiny blue fawn, whom we have named Nano on my friend's suggestion...I mentioned Micro Duck to her but she said this darling little duck needed something original. So now we have Nano Duck, unless I can think of something else I like! I will be retaining Nano and maybe possibly the other blue fawn in the picture, but the rest are available, PM me if interested. I also have 1 two-week-old white and 1 four-week-old white almost fully feathered out, available.

I personally think Micro Duck would have been a killer name.

I wish I was closer i'd be interested in the whites. I almost forgot how cute call ducklings are

They are sooooo cute! I am really looking forward to ours! That Nano is a heartbreaker.

I want some of those White ducklings so bad! Actually, I PM-ed you a few days ago, but decided I'd better not get any more right now - not with two incubators full and a Holderreads order on the way!

Annarie, I think you ought to PM me, these whites over here are calling your name!

At least the "rie!" part! They're small and don't eat much!

Scott, that is exactly what I am thinking. Nano has a high cute factor and my husband is begging me to keep him anyway, but I almost always have a method behind my madness, and I think Nano is looking pretty fine! "Downtown Brown" from the last hatch is also retained toward that hope. I am eager to see how they mature out, if nothing else happens...they're cheaper to feed than my horses, for sure! Now here I was, striving for the colors I was breeding for, and now we're going to need more breeding pens unless they are both drakes or hens!! I never expected to be retaining colors outside of those of my breeding pairs!
