Awesome! I have had really good luck with broody hens too. I have hatched tons of duck eggs that way and virtually never had to mist when I did. Going that route, I have frequently had almost 100% hatches. I am building a new small coop right now just for the sole purpose of housing a few of my hens that are always going broody. That way I can "diversify" my duck eggs- some in the incubator and some under hens.

A friend of mine put 11 of my (call and mandy) eggs under one of her hens yesterday. Fingers crossed. Congrats on yours!!!!!!

PIctures! I grabbed one of the little guys to snap some pics. I am going to let the hen have them for a while because otherwise she will try to go broody again, and she was on a nest before the call eggs got here in the mail. I want her to get her strength up. Plus she should have her reward for being such a good broody. Here's one of the babies!

I'm actually incubating some Bantam Cochins right now for the sole purpose of getting some hens to hatch Calls for me next year.
