So the calmer of the two blues is now fully integrated. The other finally got off her high horse and is in an integration pen. I think she probably was the matriarch of her group at the breeders bc she doesn't submit to MisTron like the others did. She may take longer. I know my hen and she does not give up her place on the totem pole. This young one has a lot to learn.....

No one said intragration was fun or easy with Chickens. Sometimes they never get along..

Oh yes. You are absolutely right. My gut says this one is testing to see what she can get away with. Right now it's a battle of wills. My hen is winning. The young one gets distracted easier by all the commotions of the farm while MisTron is too used to all the other animals.

Just popping in to say hey!!

So we found out that we’ve been wrong about who is laying what egg until recently. We just assumed the gray ones come from our Blue Swedish, but our Cayuga has taken it upon herself to “hold in” her egg and lay it in the bushes everyday- and now we know who’s is who’s!!


Anywho- starting next week I’m going to be a Summer Camp Counselor. I’m excited, it should keep me extra busy (and tired) though!!


Hope everyone is well, sorry for not saying much- I’m just a fly on the wall. I’ll probably continue to be.

All good!!

Really trying to speed up the Pups training so she will hopefully be ready by next month!
She had a little regression period for about three days- pottied in the house, ran outside without permission, and got a little barky.... but back to a good little doggy now! Hopefully she got it all out of her system.

Yep! We looked at it as a milestone! Hard for my grandma to understand- she’s so worried when we tell her the little blips in her training, but we try to assure her how well she’s doing! She’s a great puppy. My Aunt will love her
